Coach Pam Prohaska-Torrence founded CrossFit Fishers in 2009 with her husband Troy, with the vision of creating a fit and supportive community. A lifelong athlete, Pam was a high school and collegiate athlete in both cross-country and track. She won state in cross-country and went to nationals in CC when she attended the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Pam transitioned into body building/figure competitions in during her graduate school days. She competed in a few body building shows taking 2nd place at Minnesota natural body building competition light weight category and 2nd place at Wisconsin natural body building competition light weight category.
Before turning her attention to CrossFit Fishers, Pam had a successful career as a salesperson at Roberts Distributer which she still works part-time and she is also a wedding photographer.
Pam believes if you want results from your training program, you need to turn everything on its head. The truth is that success requires hard work and dedication. This fact is true of exercise, diet, career and personal relationships.
“Let’s be absolutely clear, there is nothing that a man can do in the gym, on the field, in the office or anywhere else that a woman can’t do too. It’s a matter of changing the way you perceive exercise and physical challenges. The harder you work, the more amazing your results will be. The better your results, the more you want to train. It’s a positively reinforcing cycle.
